project launch

1.18.2010
I was trying to wait until I uploaded Nov - Jan photos before I put up a post. Fail. Instead of goals, I'm focusing more on projects because a lot of what goes on under the umbrella of life is continual and never ending. We don't stop, we improve. I know goals help to quantify but I figure keep it simple. All I need to measure progress is honesty and a little retrospect.

Mission Organization was a past project. MO is being filed under - Kiss. Its ongoing. We're getting better at it & one of these days, a picture post will show that!

New projects: Kiss. Body Happy. Broke Free.

Keep It Simple Stupid. A great place to start. Across the board. Everyday. Simplify.

Body Happy. This one is for not only for me but for my offspring. It encompasses physical and mental fitness, diet, work-life balance, spiritual growth. Consciously put forth effort to make my body happy.

Broke Free. If its keeping me broke, then I have to break free. Kiss.

Such a beautiful thing to be blessed with life...waking up this morning with ability. The ability to launch a personal project with a goal of progress....

one and two

One. This is awesome. I would totally design and furnish a bedroom for Charlie if I had the moolah and square footage.

Two. My Kodak is giving me fits. I can't get it to upload my December photos. Soon I will join the league of DSLR users. Never will I buy a Kodak again.

Okay, so I have been at the North Pole helping Santa since before Christmas. He needed a project manager for one of his new ventures. I'm back and am working on organizing a gazillion photos for posts and albums. Meanwhile...Happy New Year!

the moment's infatuation

12.17.2009
Whole Foods, Sprouts Farmers Market, Eggplant and Garbanzo beans (for lots of hummus). Studio Movie Grill & the pick 4 combo, my old Kirk Franklin Hero cd, Othello and of course, my Charlie...these are the moment's infatuations.

look at that face

Charlie Bear took this picture with Santa over the weekend.

Who can resist that face?

I'm reading Skinny Bitch and Eat this Not That Supermarket Survival Guide. I am also not a fan of Ray Kroc, read Fast Food Nation a few years ago and think Super Size Me is worth a look. Rory & Kim hit the nail on the head in chapter 3 of Skinny Bitch. These books/films aren't really about dying to be thin & the driving forces behind that desire. Don't expect to gain any new insight on how to stop validating self worth with weight, or what causes one to seek attention & happiness in a clothing size. Something can be learned about diet & weight loss but to me, they address corporate, government, and consumer responsibility (maybe even indirectly at times). They shed a little light on the wicked world of lobbying and how high the price of profit can be. Its good conscious living.

i am thankful for my belief in eternity

11.29.2009
Thanksgiving has past and while pondering the historical birthing of the holiday my thoughts were flooded with Faith and the beliefs that support my own. My thoughts ventured to so many things, places and people of this world. In the midst of my thoughts I prayed. There is a difference between praying out of routine...because you know its right...and praying fervently...sincerely seeking revelation and peace. I desire to stay close & please God for my own soul's sake...for my husband...our future...my eternity.

because its that time of year

I was thinking...we're newlyweds and we need some traditions. We reminisced about childhood memories. We talked about the things we want our kids to experience. We meditated on some things we like. We're still working on it, but how wonderful. Its such a blessing to look forward to loving memories. What are some of your traditions?

PS: the B Hive's tree is up and ready for decorating!
